In your art-making inquiries, you should thoughtfully curate and present visual evidence of your personal exploration, creative processes, discoveries, and reflective analysis. You should demonstrate how you engaged with diverse art-making techniques and strategies to shape and refine a unique visual language driven by your artistic intentions.

Resolved Works

This SL-only task emphasizes your ability to produce a unifies and meaningful collection of artwork. You should submit five finalized pieces that represent your strongest efforts in clearly expressing artistic intentions. Through this body of work, you show how well you combine ideas with visual form and your skill in developing and completing artworks.

Extended Essay

The IB Visual Arts Extended Essay (EE) is a 4,000 word independent research project centered on a focused topic within the visual arts. You craft a clear research question, explore the topic through thorough investigation using both primary and secondary sources, and analyze your findings to build a well-structured argument.
